李佳教授予1987年在美國(guó)田納西大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系獲博土學(xué)位,。1987-1991年先后在美國(guó)田納西大學(xué),、亞利桑那大學(xué),、美國(guó)能源部洛斯阿拉莫斯國(guó)家實(shí)驗(yàn)室從事博士后研究工作。自1990年起在美國(guó)阿拉巴馬大學(xué)漢斯維爾校區(qū)數(shù)學(xué)科學(xué)系工作;先后擔(dān)任助理教授,、副教授、教授，并于2005至2016年間擔(dān)任該系系主任,。在1992至2005年間還曾任美國(guó)康奈爾大學(xué)訪問(wèn)副教授，及美國(guó)能源部洛斯阿拉莫斯國(guó)家實(shí)驗(yàn)室顧問(wèn)?，F(xiàn)為阿拉巴馬大學(xué)亨茨維爾校區(qū)榮休教授,，并擔(dān)任廣州大學(xué)應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)中心特聘教授。李佳教授主要從事于動(dòng)力系統(tǒng),、微分方程,、差分方程、數(shù)學(xué)建模,、人口動(dòng)力學(xué),、傳染病動(dòng)力學(xué)、數(shù)學(xué)生態(tài)學(xué),、數(shù)學(xué)傳染病學(xué)及數(shù)學(xué)生態(tài)毒理學(xué)等方面的研究,。在主要應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)和生物數(shù)學(xué)雜志發(fā)表論文110多篇，獲得多項(xiàng)美國(guó)國(guó)家科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目,，任Mathematical Biology and Engineering和Journal of Biological Dynamics等雜志的編委,。李佳教授多次組織和參與有關(guān)生物數(shù)學(xué)方面的國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議，在國(guó)內(nèi)外多所高校進(jìn)行講學(xué),，是國(guó)際生物數(shù)學(xué)領(lǐng)域的知名專家,。
報(bào)告摘要:
In this talk, we first give a quick review on our recent modeling and analysis work on interactive dynamics of wild and sterile mosquitoes. we then introduce the newly modified genetic sterile insect technique (SIT) and strategies of releasing mosquitoes carrying a dominant lethal (RIDL). There are four strategies implemented, including early acting bisex (EBS) lethality; late acting bisex(LBS)lethality, early acting female-klling (EFK) lethality; and late acting female-killing (EFK) lethality. We formulate homogeneous mosquito population models based on ordinary differential equations and, respectively, incorporate the four transgenic SIT implementations. We define release thresholds of the sterile mosquitoes for all the implementations to determine whether wild mosquitoes can be eradicated or coexist with the sterile mosquitoes. We discuss our findings and compare the different release strategies with numerical examples.
